Travel Tip: Workout Resources for Travel

Keeping up with an exercise routine while traveling can be tough, but thankfully there are plenty of resources available to make it a little bit easier!

Kayla Itsines

Kayla Itsines’ Bikini Body Workout Guide is a 12-week exercise training program and one of my favorite resources! These 28-minute circuit-training workouts require minimal equipment, and each workout consists of two 7-minute circuits that are repeated once. These workouts are perfect to do in a hotel gym.

Alexia Clark on Instagram

I frequently look to Alexia Clark’s Instagram for workout inspiration! She posts workout routines daily, and with the “save “ feature on Instagram, I file away workouts that I want to try! When she is traveling, she posts workouts from her hotel using things found in her room for equipment such as bath towels and suitcases for equipment.

Nike Training Club App

Nike Training Club is a free app for iPhone and Android that offers 100+ workouts. With categories of strength, endurance, and mobility, you can select workouts that cater to your fitness goals. Workouts are anywhere from 15-45 minutes, and there are multiple no-equipment workouts available!

TRX Go

The TRX Suspension Trainer is a piece of exercise equipment that is gravity-based and controlled by your body weight. You determine how difficult your workout will be by repositioning your body to increase or decrease intensity. The TRX Go includes a TRX suspension trainer, a door anchor, a mesh carry bag (perfect for travel!), and a couple of workouts to get you started! Anchor the TRX bands to a door, tree, pole, or any other sturdy structure for an effective total-body workout on the road.

Get outside!

Research the area where you are staying or ask locals about running trails, parks, or hikes. Many cities have recently stepped up their fitness game by creating urban trails and outdoor workout areas making it easier than ever to exercise while on the go! This is a great way to check the exercise box while exploring the city that you are visiting. Two of my favorite running trails/paths I have enjoyed on the road are the Katy Trail in Dallas, TX and the Boston Public Garden.

Have a favorite workout resource when traveling? I’d love to hear about it!

Always finding joy,

It’s exhausting to seek out educated folks on this subject, but you sound like you understand what you’re speaking about! Thanks
