Finding Gratitude

The offseason for PGA Tour golf is here and while it may be short, it is so nice to have some down time at home with family and friends for the holidays! After weeks of travel, I have had time to take a deep breath and reflect on the many things I am thankful for in this life on the road.

Friends

This lifestyle sure would be lonely without the community of friends we have made through the PGA Tour! They are our support system, advice-givers, and ears to listen! They seek adventure (and good food) with me when we are visiting new cities; plus they agree to try new gyms and workout classes with me! I am forever grateful for these friendships.

Travel

We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to travel all over this country and sometimes overseas for the great sport of golf. We have visited so many beautiful places and gorgeous golf courses! This year I visited Mexico for the first time for the OHL Classic at Mayakoba and that may be my favorite travel destination this year!

PGA Tour Wives Association

I am so thankful to be able to give back to the communities to which we travel through the PGA Tour Wives Association! With a degree in Child Life, I love having the opportunity to love on kids and their families in the local communities! The paint party with patients from St. Jude at the FedEx St. Jude Classic in Memphis and the Wiffle Ball Classic benefitting Blessings in a Backpack at the RSM Classic in Sea Island were two of my favorite events this year!

Health

I try to keep health and wellness a priority always, but it can sometimes be a challenge while on the road! I am thankful for access to resources to fuel my body with the nutrients that it needs and with physical exercise no matter where I am so that I can feel my best! I love exploring cities via hikes, long walks, and runs or visiting local fitness studios. Thank goodness for nationwide grocery chains like Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s that provide a sense of familiarity in whatever city I am visiting. I am very grateful for good health and I never, ever want to take that for granted.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you get to spend time with the ones you love!

Always finding joy,

Francie
