Okay-Let me set the scene for you: you walk into Sephora with one item on your list that you need. You grab that one item, head for the checkout line and then suddenly you notice that somehow you have three extra items in your hands by the time you get to the register thanks to Sephora’s ever-so-clever “Beauty On The Fly” section. Who else is guilty of this-I KNOW I’m not the only one?!? This area of the store is definitely my KRYPTONITE; however, it’s not such a bad thing and I’ve decided to embrace it!
I find myself justifying the purchase by saying “Oh, this size of the product is ONLY $10!” With all the traveling that we do, these mini-size products really do come in handy and are truly a necessity (remember the TSA limit is 3oz)! It’s also a great way to try out a product you’ve been thinking about without breaking the bank by investing in the full size! Below are a few of my favorite “On The Fly” finds!
Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is one thing I do not travel without and this one is my very favorite! I have tried A LOT of dry shampoos and this one does the trick for me and works best for my hair!
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
I absolutely love this moisturizer. I received it as a sample from another Sephora purchase and I was immediately hooked! When I did some research, I quickly realized Brazilian Bum Bum Cream has a cult following! I would advise smelling it before making the purchase because the scent is strong (and I like it!) This is a wonderful everyday moisturizer and I’m glad I was lured into the purchase!
Kiehl’s Crème de Corps
This is my favorite unscented moisturizer. If a strong-scented moisturizer isn’t your thing, give this one a try!
Cauldalie Beauty Elixir
This product is new to me and now I use it everyday! I spray my face with this in the morning as part of my skincare routine or I use it to set my makeup. This product is also wonderful to use during a long flight to provide an energizing “pick-me-up” . It smells extremely fresh (infused with rosemary and mint), like a spa spray!
Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel
This 2-step treatment is a great exfoliant! My skins feels amazing after I use these pads. I use these at home and keep them in my travel toiletry bag.
MoroccanOil Hairspray
I don’t know about you, but hairspray is an absolute necessity for this southern girl! I’m a big fan of this one and the mini size is perfect to travel with or throw in a purse or tote when on the go!
Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment
This is THE BEST tinted chapstick! I’ve been using this product for YEARS. I keep one in my carry-on, one in my purse, and one in my car!
Living Proof “Perfect Hair Day” Set
A wonderful set for your hair because sometimes hotel shampoo just doesn’t cut it! In addition to shampoo and conditioner, it also includes the brand’s top-rated dry shampoo!
Supergoop Sunscreen Mist
Whether you’re headed on a tropical vacation or you’re preparing for a long day on the golf course, this mini-size SPF 50 sunscreen is great for on-the-go!
Drunk Elephant Littles
This travel-sized set is a bit of a splurge, but if you’re like me, you’ve been curious about Drunk Elephant skincare because their beautifully packaged products are ALL OVER Instagram! This set includes mini sizes of almost all their skincare line-a great way to travel with an entire skincare regimen! Drunk Elephant’s products are pricey so this is a great way to find which products you absolutely love and which ones you’d rather not invest in. A new set of littles just launched yesterday and the Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser and the TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum (also available in this set) are my favorites that are included in The Littles! Another one of my favorites from the brand is the Lala Retro Whipped Cream moisturizer, which was included in the previous set of littles that I have!
