The Franarita – my signature cocktail

Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner and margaritas are a MUST! My FAVORITE cocktail is a not-too-sweet margarita with fresh-squeezed juices. It was my signature cocktail at our wedding and it’s my go-to cocktail on Friday nights! Fresh-squeezed juices may sound tedious, but trust me – it makes all the difference! This citrus press is my secret weapon, especially when I’m making the margaritas for a group!

The “Franarita”

1.5 oz Blanco Tequila (Casamigos Blanco and Codigo Rosa are my favorites)

2 oz Fresh-squeezed orange juice

1.5 oz Fresh-squeezed lime juice

Splash of Cointreau (Triple Sec works too!)

Topped with Topo Chico (optional)

Salted rim (optional)

Add all ingredients (except for Topo Chico and salt for rim) with ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously to get it extra cold. Strain over ice in a salt rimmed glass and top with Topo Chico if desired.

Cheers!

Always finding joy,

Francie
